We are located in Alexandria, Ontario, off the trans-Canada highway, approximately 30 minutes from the Quebec boarder. We have been living there for over 20 years now. We own a little over 250 acres of land, most of which is pasture, forest and hay fields. We do most of our own hay for the horses and buy hay for the cattle. At the moment we have 11 horses on the farm, 3 of which are retired, 3 broodmares, a 4 year old gelding, a 3 year old mare, a 2 year old gelding, 1 filly and 1 colt. We only take on retired horses or babies, because other than trails, we are not equipped with a riding area.
Below is one of our broodmares Flicka and her colt Reggie (born June 13th 2003). His sire is King David, a retired Grand Prix stallion. King David has sired many nice hunters who have been sold all over the United States. Look for him at the shows in a couple of years.
Below were two boarders. Henna , the chestnut, who had been with us for 7 years. The dark bay is Bencen, who had been with us for 12 years. Bencen also visited us in the past, when he was on a sick leave from work. Both Bencen and Henna had been retired on our farm and passed away on our farm.
This is part of our heard of cattle, taken a few summers ago. They are in the back pasture, drinking from our little pond. We have over 100 head of cattle.
