Oellie R has some of the most prestigious European bloodlines such as Voltaire, who is his father, Ramiro Z who is his grandfather and Farn his great-grandfather. Voltaire is very well known all over the world, he has thrown many Champions in both the Hunters and Jumpers. Oellie's bloodlines are one of the best for jumpers, he not only has plenty of scope he also has exceptional movement. Oellie is 14 years old and is standing 16'3", he is a registered Dutch Warmblood. Foals can be papered with KWPN registry B or Canadian Warmblood. Oellie has had only a dozen or so foals as he was never used primarily for breeding until now. From the babies he has thrown they are all brave, strong, beautiful and quiet, they will all be winners!
Oellie R was imported from Holland in 2000, he was purchased with the intentions of becoming a Grand Prix Show Jumper. Unfortunately, on the flight over to Canada he suffered a serious injury which prevented him to have reached his potential. So his top quality bloodlines and athletic abilities are now offered to the breeders of North America.
We purchased Oellie R Fall 2008 as a breeding stallion, as we had helped hand pick him in Europe so many years ago and have always loved him since. We have an amazing filly named Orphan Annie foaled 2008 who has extreme talent, great movement and is naturally agile, she will go to the top! We also have another extraordinary filly named Offlimits who again is stunning, agile, a fantastic mover and athletic. She too will go to the top! We will have more Oellie R babies next year 2011 who are all for sale.
Winter 2011 Vicky Duhard decided it would be fun to see if she couldn't bring Oellie back to full work and see if he could tough it. Vicky says, "Oellie is the nicest horse I have ever ridden and one of the nicest I've ever worked with! He has amazing gaits and is always eager to please. He is so powerful you can feel with every step. He has also a great mouth. He's also extremely nice to ride because he doesn't have any spook to him! Even on the ground he follows me like a puppy! He's been an absolute joy to work with. I definitely want an Oellie baby to keep as a stallion for myself."
Oellie can now be visited and seen at a stable in St-Lazare should you want to come see and meet him!
