1. Stallion Fee of $ 1,200.00 CDN, with a booking fee of $250.00 which is to be paid upon submission of this contract. The balance is to be paid upon execution of this contraction. This includes the first semen collection.

2. The mare owner will return a copy of the mare's papers (should she have any) and photo with this contract. If necessary, the mare's owner agrees to have the mare checked and treated by a veterinarian for breeding and/or health conditions at the owner's expense.

3. Board for any horse is $15.00 CDN/day; mare with foal $25.00 CDN/day, basic feed included. Any veterinary services which may be needed are to be paid by the mare's owner.

4. Collection, containers and shipment terms:

•  Only the first collection is included in the purchase price. All additional collection services will be for a fee of $175.00 CDN. Disposable shipping containers are $50.00 CDN/each or $150.00 CDN (refundable deposit) for the Equitainer model (used for long distance shipping).

•  All shipping costs are the responsibility of the mare owner, not including a $35.00 transport to bus, and airport fee.

5. When breeding with transported semen, it is agreed that a maximum of 2 samples of live semen is shipped per cycle, for a maximum of 3 cycles. The mare owner will bear all shipment costs. If after 3 cycles, the mare is still not in foal, she must undergo a fertility examination by a veterinarian (at the owner of the mare's expense), or can be substituted for another mare approved by the stallions' owners.

7. The mare owner is entitled to re-breed the mare until a live foal that stands for at least 10 days is birthed. This guarantee will apply only if BREEDING REPORTS i.e. breeding soundness, insemination and pregnancy or loss of pregnancy report (if applicable) are returned according to the instructions therein. IF THESE REPORTS ARE NOT RECEIVED AS INSTRUCTED, ALL GUARANTEES, REFUNDS, BREEDINGS, AND/OR REGISTRATION ARE NULL AND VOID.

8. A breeding soundness report is due prior to the first provision of service that year to the mare (if the mare does not catch within the first year), by shipment of semen for artificial insemination. If the mare is in foal, the examination must be done after foaling. A veterinarian will determine if the mare is unsuitable for breeding. If determined unsuitable for breeding, the mare owner may substitute a new mare, subject to acceptance. This substitute mare will be breed under the same terms and conditions as the original mare. No refund will be given if a substitute mare cannot be found.

9. The mare owner agrees to use the fresh shipped semen only to the mare named above in this contract and a veterinarian will verify and confirm in writing, that the shipped semen has been used to inseminate the mare in the above contract.

10. The insemination and pregnancy report is due within 60 days of the insemination date. The report must be supplied within each shipment of semen. Additionally, the mare owner must provide the loss of pregnancy report within 5 days of the foaling or abortion of the foal.

11. The stallion owners are to be informed at the beginning of the mares heat cycle. The mare owner must notify the stallion owner 24 hours in advance for shipped semen.
