Riding with Vicky has given me the chance to realize my dreams of leasing a horse and showing on the A-circuit. Thanks to Vicky's generosity, I have been full-leasing My Romeo for three years now, which has definitely changed my life in the best way possible! Romeo is the most amazing horse with the sweetest personality and it is a privilege to be around him. Vicky gave me the opportunity to quickly learn the ropes of showing and taught me how to be successful in the Adult Hunters. In the last three years I have accomplished a lot of things that I would have never thought possible and I owe it all to Vicky. "Disgruntled and discouraged is how I felt before coming to Vicky. At the end of my rope, after 14 years of riding I was ready to quit. My horse didn't want to jump anymore and my confidence was completely gone. Vicky helped me find my love for riding all over again. She took the time to build my confidence and pushed me to my limits but never further than what I was capable of. With Vicky's fantastic coaching abilities and her lovely mount My Romeo, 5 months after switching we were Regional Champions in the Adult Amateurs. After that victory, Vicky took me on numerous lengthy travels to help me find the perfect horse. She found me my current horse, Cooper (Made Ya Look) and has helped me train him from jumping crossrails to showing in the Adult Amateurs on the A circuit. Vicky is a patient and incredibly talented coach. She takes the time to listen to her students about their goals and helps them get there. I think her greatest talents is her ability to spot a great horse and to develop riders to their highest potential. She makes her lessons both fun and productive, she's always there to give positive feedback when you're discouraged and she's absolutely THE BEST at building confidence in her riders. "I have had the pleasure of half-leasing Diablo Spring 2011- January 2012, I sadly have had to stop leasing him because of personal commitments.
He is an incredible horse. 2011 was my first summer back on the A-circuit after 8 years off from showing. Diablo was an absolute dream to ride and at our second show together we were Champion doing the Modified hunters out of 29 horses. He takes amazing care of his riders and is forgiving of mistakes. He gives you his full effort in everything you ask. Diablo has a huge heart and as soon as your ride him you will wonder how it is possible that he is only 5 years old!!! He is the perfect horse to have fun on, learn on, and win ribbons. He loves peppermints and gives the best kisses! Whoever gets to half-lease this horse will without a doubt fall in love with him as I have!
The next best thing to getting to half-lease this horse will be that you get to be part of Vicky Duhard's team! Vicky is the best coach I have had to date... This is after 18 years in the sport. She is supportive, encouraging, and knows when to challenge you. She truly cares about all of her horses and riders and is dedicated to each and every one of them. Her team is filled with motivated, fun-loving, and ambitious riders. The atmosphere within the group is one of fun, warmth, and genuine love of horses. I really can't say enough good things about this horse, coach, and team. It has been a fantastic experience for me to be a part of and I can't wait to join them again when I get back in the saddle.

"Our whole experience was great! Vicky took us out shopping, looking at horses till we begged for mercy. There were still a few to see but at minus 20 we had found one we liked. Imagine that, we had been looking for 4 months and seen but a few to our liking, with Vicky, we liked all of them and only had to pick the one we liked the most. Sadly, he failed the vet check. I think Vicky was more disappointed then we were. We had planned another shopping day. But at the lesson just before, she came over with a picture of a horse and a gleam in her eye. She said that she had found the perfect horse. Well, I don't know much about the horse world, but it seems it functions at a different pace then the rest of the world. We were waiting anxiously for news, Vicky kept reassuring us that everything was as it should be (God bless her patience). Finally the phone call saying, "Tomorrow, Kiki will go try out this horse". We show up and he is just an adorable big horse, like a puppy. Kiki loves him and they fit well together. He passes the vet check the next day and is safely shipped the day after. WOW! I still can't believe how fast it was. We are very blessed to have the help of a professional like Vicky. We now own the perfect horse for us and are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with everybody at Duhard Show Jumping. Thank you everybody for the great welcome. And especially big thanks to Vicky for putting that priceless smile on my daughters' face.

"I got my 1st horse; Medieval Prince at barely 13. He was a baby and I was more or less a beginner. We faced many challenges trying to work together, neither of us knowing more than the other. After meeting Vicky at Sans Souci it became clear that she was my ticket to self-improvement and developing my horse further. Medieval was quite the adventure to ride and had a mind of his own! Quite honestly when I look back I wonder how I did it! Without Vicky I probably would have ended up trampled and completely turned off from horses. But instead she took me under her instruction and worked the “crazy” out of my horse and I. She jump-started a relationship with my horse and I that I had never thought possible.
Seeing how she worked tirelessly with me & Medieval just solidified my decision to have her as my coach. I think it's safe to say that Medieval tested both Vicky & I, and she never let me get discouraged when training him seemed absolutely impossible. Vicky would just tell me that Medieval was “special” and needed to be directed and guided differently than some other horses.
Indeed she was right!!! Medieval was definitely “special”. Once we worked out our kinks and found a way to communicate as horse and rider, we surpassed my wildest expectations in terms of my horse-back-riding goals.
We went from green horse and rider, to winning jumper classes. Never had I thought that we would have progressed that far. Medieval's first jumper class, he stunned everyone when he went clean and raced through the jump-off to win a ribbon. This was just the beginning, Medieval and I had found our niche. “Jumper land” became our new destination for the following 5 years, where we won nearly every jumper class and qualified for the Quebec games year after year. We even were fortunate enough to be invited to ride IN the Ian Millar Clinic. I felt like I was dreaming!
Now that I have a new horse; Only in the Movies. I can't wait to see what Vicky turns us into.
Thank you Vicky from the bottom of my heart for showing me that ANYTHING is possible. Your hard work, determination and persistence in teaching me, is the reason I'm still horse-back-riding and reaching for the stars.

"After taking a few years off from riding I started back at a few riding schools but I quickly loss interest in the sport as it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. Then about 6 years ago I found Vicky. I immediately became part of the Duhard show jumping team and had a warm welcome with a great, friendly, supportive and fun group. It wasn't long before I regained my love and passion for the sport. Vicky set me up with a few horses to half lease, and then finally met my match when she arranged for me to half lease Medieval Prince. He was a talented jumper that had many successful trips in the show ring with his owner. It took one ride for me to fall in love with this horse. He was small in size but large in attitude and was a little firecracker when riding him. Since I only rode for a few inconsistent years I came with little experience and confidence in my riding. Vicky was great at setting goals and working hard to reach them. The 1st year I stepped into a show ring we won a gold medal! This set the tone for me and made me want more when it came to riding and showing. When the opportunity presented itself Vicky made all the arrangements for me to purchase Medieval Prince and he became my horse. I now have a great, sweet, and talented horse that I can enjoy, work hard, have fun and show with.

"It's been a while now that you've been my coach but I don't think you realize what else you have become to me; a hero, a mentor, someone that's made a difference in my life. You have made me the rider I am today; sure when I came to you I could sit on a push button pony, ride around with a smile and win the red ribbon. But I have learnt much more then that now, I'm not saying Garfield didn't help, but I can go in that show ring and do an amazing course and be able to come out and proudly and say "I deserved whatever I placed" because you have taught me how to ride as well as I can today. You helped me to get that Reserve Champion at the Beaulieus A circuit horse show!
You gave me the confidence to go the extra mile with horses and you taught me to ride their big bucks in the arena ha-ha, you helped me with the big spooks and the scary corners. Not only have you always been there for me to help me with my rides and to improve my riding skills but even through my life in general. You always help me with my problems be it horses, boys, school work, or even what to wear to the banquet. You got me over my first "big" fence. You honestly did make me the rider I am today. I would get really angry and frustrated sometimes when riding but you were always there pushing me as far as I could go but I was still comfortable. You never lost your temper with me and you always helped me. If it weren't for the courage I got from you I could not have done it. I cherish all the memories I have with you and I could never forget how happy and proud I am just walking around the show grounds with you or learning a course. You mean so much to me and you are an amazing coach. Thank you for always being there as my friend, my coach, my mentor or the one who tells me what to do.
