A little information about Vicky Duhard:
I am 30 years old and have been riding since I was 4. Horses have always been a big part of my life and always will be. I don't remember the first time I got on a horse, or the first time I fell off for that matter.

I started seriously riding at Pepinere Stables in 1985, where I took lessons with Gladys Adams. I then continued to ride with Cheryl Lanctot in 1988 and Christine Dejordy in 2003. Christine Dejordy is a Level 2 coach from the South Shore, working on getting her Level 3. Both Cheryl and Christine have played big roles in my training for both coaching and riding. I learnt a lot from Christine but most of my background comes solely from Cheryl, as she has always played as a role model for me and has been my mentor since our very first riding lesson together.

I have also taken clinics with Michel Vaillancourt, an Olympic Silver Medallist in 1976 and Level 4 Jumper Coach, Martha Griggs, a Level 3 Eventing Coach and Jeff McKessock, a Level 3 Eventing Coach. I have also audited two clinics given by Ian Millar, as well as having one of my students specially invited to ride at the clinic given in the Fall 2007 at Ferme Beaulieus. I have also audited clinics given by Amy Millar Spring 2008 as well as having 4 students ride in the clinic at Ferme Beaulieus and Spring 2009 as well as having 3 students ride in it at O'Neils Farm. I have also audited clinics given by Erynn Ballard and John Kersley. In addition to the experience that I have gained through clinics, and riding with Cheryl and Christine, I also taught at Sans-Souci Riding Center in 2000 and helped out at The Horse People Inc Fall of 1999.

I have over 15 years of experience, I have been coaching since 2000 in St-Lazare, however I started teaching in 1993 where I was boarding at the time. My clients range in age from 10 to 50+ and they all vary in experience.

My motto is to work hard and HAVE FUN. I have clients that have a wide range of skill level, from first time riders to advanced show riders in both Hunters and Jumpers. We always set achievable goals together, and I take the time to give each of my riders the attention that they need and deserve. I have a group of riders that I take to all the AERSO hunter / jumper shows and to the provincial A-Circuit shows. I am very proud to say that they all do very well in the shows, from the Novice divisions to my A-Circuit Hunters and Jumpers, my students are always in the ribbons. Every year since 2003 some of my students have qualified for either the hunter/equitation or jumpers for the inter-regional finals more formally known as Jeux Equestre du Quebec. In addition, my horse, My Romeo qualified for the Royal Winter Fair in 2005 with Sophie Proulx who had leased him for the summer.
